Dryer Drum Glide
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP37001298

The Dryer Drum Glide is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dryers. It is designed to facilitate smooth rotation and movement of the dryer drum during operation. The glide supports the drum, reducing friction and ensuring proper alignment.

Causes of a bad dryer drum glide can include wear and tear over time, exposure to excessive heat or vibration, or damage from foreign objects or improper installation.

Symptoms of a bad dryer drum glide:

  • Loud rumbling or grinding noises during the drying cycle
  • Excessive vibration or shaking of the dryer
  • Difficulty in rotating the drum manually
  • Uneven drying or clothing becoming tangled

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Thermal fuse failure.   John O. • Parma , OH • February 14, 2017

After replacing thermal fuse once and having it fail a second time, I had to dig a little deeper to uncover the problem. I checked for blockage in the vent but everything was clear. I did, however, find that the drum had some up and down play in it. After closer inspection, I could see that the front drum seal was actually worn to the point that I could see a gap between the seal and the drum. I figured that the gap in the seal was letting air in and not letting sufficient air flow through the... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You My son advised that my Amana LG3412W suddenly developed the "no heat" syndrome   William S. • Tulsa , OK • September 11, 2018

After verifying the no heat problem myself, I just googled "LG3412W no heat" with my smartphone and thumb. One of the first hits was the Appliance Parts Pros website with a list of 8 possible parts that might fix this problem, listed in descending order of likelihood of success. With 3 adults worth of dirty laundry piling up and straining our ability to drip dry, I had to agonize over: 1) buying a new dryer from whatever a local dealer had in stock, then clearing years of valuable junk in... Terminal Block (Power Connection)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP61923

This terminal block provides a secure connection point for the appliance's main power and incoming wiring, restoring reliable electrical contact and preventing loose or arcing connections. What it does:

  • Creates a stable, screw-down connection for incoming power wires and internal leads
  • Helps prevent intermittent power, arcing, or burning at the connection point
  • Used where the power cord or internal harness attaches to the appliance chassis
  • Commonly replaced when terminals are loose, melted, corroded, or show signs of overheating

What's included:

  • One terminal block

Install notes:

  • Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before starting any work
  • Take a photo of existing wiring before removal to ensure correct reconnection
  • Reuse existing screws or replace with equivalent hardware; tighten firmly but avoid overtightening
  • If terminals show heat damage or corrosion on mating connectors, replace both the block and affected connectors

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bought a used dryer went through it before putting in service to insure things were ok   Clifford R. • Bay St. Louis , MS • December 17, 2014

Found belt tension idler worn down to the bushing, found the drum rollers stiff and hard to turn, found belt worn and starting to crack. Ordered all of these plus front slide pads. Replaced and now feel confident the dryer will run without problems. Absolutely need a pair of snap-ring pliers for this job. I used a high temp grease on the roller shafts, some info on what lubrication is recommended would be good. While dryer is disassembled, clean/vacuum all the lint from the cabinet, motor,...
