The Counterweight is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. It is located at the front of the tub, helping to offset the weight of heavily loaded clothes and maintaining the best drum balance during centrifugal spin cycles. The counterweight is cast and matched to each washer model to distribute weight as efficiently as possible.

Causes of a bad counterweight can include cracks or fractures from extensive machine vibrations over time, or damage incurred during removal/installation.

Symptoms of a bad or missing counterweight include:

• Excessive tub or machine vibration
• Noisy or unbalanced spin cycles
• Clothes failing to extract fully due to off-balance load
• Potential tub or drum damage from stresses of imbalance

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

Direct-fit outer cabinet housing that encases and protects internal washer components. Replace if cracked, damaged, or worn to restore proper alignment.
