Fix F2 error codes and inaccurate oven temperatures by replacing a faulty temperature sensor. Simple 15-minute DIY repair with basic tools.
My mother's GE range was not coming up to full heat (very far from it), and I was hearing a lot of relay-clicking coming from the control board. The heating elements seemed good. I suspected the control board was faulty, but there was a chance that it might be the (*much* less expensive) temperature sensor, so I ordered both from AppliancePartsPros.com (which got the parts to me very fast) so I could try the T-sensor first. After removing the doors and the back panel of the oven, and taking out... Read more

Oven won't heat or light? This gas range igniter glowbar ignites the burner for proper heating. Moderate DIY repair, 20-30 minutes typical install.
From YouTube videos I was sure the issue was a blown igniter. There were numerous examples of how to replace the igniter on YouTube and the repair was pretty easy. Getting at the igniter was a bit awkward and I had to disconnect gas to get access to back of oven but the whole process only took 20-25 minutes. Read more

Finally decided to repair the oven myself, rather than pay $300.00 to have a repair person come out. Ordered the replacement igniter from AppliancePartsPros.com, and it arrived in two days. I followed the instructional video on the AppliancePartsPros.com website, and it was going well until I... Read more

Fix burners that won't light, adjust, or maintain flame. This valve regulates gas flow to individual cooktop burners. Moderate DIY repair with hand tools.
I wasn't sure if it was the valve or the switch that was broken so I ordered both parts so I would be assured of being able to fix the range the same day I took it apart. It was a much bigger pain getting to the valves than I imagined but I did get it done. Turns out the two tiny screws holding the v@lve together wer backing themselves out and the stem was very loose.
