The Door Switch is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire wall ovens. It is a component located on the oven door that detects when the door is opened and closed. The door switch works alongside the control board to regulate oven operations based on door position.

Start bye removing the three screws that hold the underside of the microwave up. Once those are undone, the panel pivots down. You then need to un-attach the lights so the panel will totally come off and out of the way. The motor is plainly visible. The video told of the trick on removing the door surround that allowed me to access the handle screws. I purchased new handle screws at the same time I bought the new handle. Microwave won't heat but runs normally? A failed diode prevents power conversion to the magnetron. This part restores heating in most microwaves.
The rectifier (a high-voltage diode) connected to the magnetron that supplies the RF energy that does the heating in the microwave was shorted. The shorted rectifier was found by using a multimeter to measure resistance which should be very high in this type of diode.
