Ordered top and bottom drawers and right and left side rails. Hardest thing was getting out the broken drawers on out took me 15 minutes to re install the new hardware. Read more
I did have to dig out the tiny old broken pieces of glass from the front rubber edging with a knife blade. I tried both a screwdriver and needle nose pliers, but they were shredding the edge. Then I just popped it on and laid the glass in the slots. Super easy! Read more
Looked up the make and model number on ApplianceParts.com. Viewed the diagram of the defroster heater assembly. Ordered the replacement parts which arrived in 2 business days. It took a long time with a hair dryer to melt the ice/frost on the coils, but not long at all to remove and replace the 2 heater elements. Read more
This recess heater was a last resort 'nuclear' option that I never employed. First repair was to replace the solenoid that keeps the little door from staying open and letting room air back up it. Also replaced the gaskets around both doors which allowed the freezer and fridge sides to stay at the right temp. That seems to have done the trick. I ended up replacing the circuit board, solenoid, and ice door. While I had it torn apart, I went ahead and replaced the rubber pieces that funnel the ice into the glass. Read more
