This is a small glass jar that attaches to the underside of a range vent hood to collect grease and cooking residue filtered from the air during use. It threads or clips into a designated opening on the hood's grease collection system. Replace this jar if it is cracked, chipped, missing, or if the threading is damaged and it no longer seats securely, which can cause grease to drip onto the cooktop below.

The spark module for my 1990 Caloric Model RSS398 Natural Gas double oven range stopped functioning. I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more
