Turned off breaker to oven, took pictures of existing broil, supporting bracket and shield attached to oven, removed screws holding element, support piece and shield, removed bracket and shield, pulled out the element, took another close-up picture of the wires connected to element, removed wires, connected new element, turned breaker on to see if connection is correct, turned it off, installed element, shield and support bracket (in this order). The delivery of the element was superfast, less than 24 hrs. Unplug the Stove from the receptical! Took a phippips screwdriver and took out the 2 screws holding it, and tilted it upwards a bit and pulled the element out about 3 inches an unhooked the wires. Hooked the wires up to the new element and pushed it back into the holes and put the 2 screws back in and turned the stove on and that was all there was to that. Read more
