Filters debris and sediment from incoming water before it reaches the inlet valve. Replace if clogged or missing to restore proper fill flow. Confirm fit.
The machine would not run a full cycle before it cut off and had the code "FE" and water was too high. The water inlet valve needed to be replaced since it was letting in too much water at time. The repair was easy. Unplug machine and turn off cold water. Remove cold water line and drain water into bucket. The water inlet mixing valve controls the flow and temperature of water entering the washer by blending hot and cold water supplies. Located at the back of the machine where water lines connect, it responds to temperature selection commands. Replace if water temperature is incorrect, no water enters the tub, or leaking occurs at the valve connections.
