I knew the thermal fuse was tripped so the heating element was not working but over time the dishwasher failed to start even after shutting power and cycle on. Had to remove the door from the main body of the dishwasher and then take the outer door apart from the inner door. Find a good video that showed how to do this but it was not exactly like the model of GE dishwasher that I have. Once you know how to remove the panel it went fairly quick.
