Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Cleaned mold/scale off of as much of the door as I could while in there as well. Removing parts without breaking plastic tabs to hold the new parts was trickiest part. Read more

Ordered the top 2 likely most parts causing the problem based on troubleshooting diagnostics from AppliancePartsPros and other on-line websites (magnetron & diode/rectifier). Received parts a bit earlier than estimated delivery and installed. Most difficult part of the process was removing oven from over-range mounting location. This is a small metal or plastic retainer clip that secures the main top panel of the dryer to the cabinet frame. This assembly includes the roller shaft and rear support bracket that holds a drum support roller in place inside the dryer. It allows the drum to rotate smoothly on its rear support rollers.
