A small metal C-shaped retaining clip that secures shafts, pins or components in place to prevent unwanted movement. Simple, durable hardware that restores proper fit and alignment for the part it secures. What it does:

• Holds shafts, pins or rods in position to prevent axial movement or disengagement
• Restores secure attachment where a worn or missing clip allows parts to shift or fall out
• Used in moving assemblies to maintain alignment and proper function
• Fits in a groove or slot and provides spring tension for a tight hold

• One C-clip (retaining clip)

• Inspect the mating groove/pin for burrs or damage before installing the clip
• Use appropriate snap-ring or pliers to compress/expand the clip as needed; wear eye protection
• Ensure the clip fully seats in its groove and that the retained component moves as intended
