This top panel is the painted metal cover that sits on the range's upper surface, restoring a clean appearance and protecting internal components from spills and heat. It replaces worn, dented, or discolored top covers. What it does:
Venting pipe for dryer exhaust system. Connects dryer to external vent. Replace if cracked, damaged, or deteriorated to maintain proper airflow.
The Dryer Drum Roller Axle is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It plays a role in the dryer's operation by offering support and an axis for the drum roller to spin smoothly. This guarantees effective and balanced tumbling of clothes throughout the drying cycle.
Causes of a bad Dryer Drum Roller Axle can include prolonged use leading to wear and tear, accumulation of lint and debris causing additional friction, or improper loading of the dryer drum which can bend or strain the axle.
Symptoms of a bad Dryer Drum Roller Axle include:
This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.
I replaced the belt, belt tension pulley, both dryer drum roller axles and both drum support rollers. Although I bought 2 tumbler bearing kits, because those still look good I am saving them for when they go bad. The videos were fantastic! I also took pictures as I went of wiring so there would be no question where things went when reassembling. It should be noted some models have extra terminals near the sensor terminals... just be aware and look closely/take pics as you are taking things... Read more
Replaced the Idler Pulley, which I think was the problem, but also replaced the bearing the tub rotates on and the belt while I was going to have the dryer apart anyway (and I used the high Temp Lubricant on the bearing.) Watching the repair video was helpful so I didn't run into any surprises. Read more
The Front Felt Glide Assembly is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. This part allows smooth operation of the dryer drum, providing a felt pad that the drum glides on as it rotates. This not only helps to support the drum but also minimizes friction and noise, contributing to the efficient and quiet operation of the dryer.
Over time, the felt portion of the glide assembly can wear down, leading to increased friction between the drum and the dryer's front panel.
Symptoms of a bad Front Felt Glide Assembly include:
This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.
Recommendations have fun and a bucket to prevent losing parts. First watch the videos, practice disassemble and reassemble the dryer drum. Make certain you have a good screw driver and spatula from kitchen (could not find my putty knife). Secondly, clean and inspect everything, make sure the motor bearing and belt pulleys are in good condition with little or no play. Third after you have confidently disassembled, vacuum cleaned, inspected all the worn parts, grease the motor and pulley,... Read more
By Maytag. This three coil kit is used on older Maytag, Admiral, Norge, and Jenn Air dryers. Includes three coils - 12001348, WP305604, WP305605.
Problem was solenoid (coil) not allowing gas flow for re-ignite. Since there are 3 coils in this Maytag dryer, all 3 should be replaced at the same time. The Maytag model number is HDG-308. However, the search for parts does not recognize the "H". Thanks Appliance Parts Pros customer service for confirming that this was the correct kit before shipment. Parts arrived in 2 days with standard shipping. Follow the directions supplied with the kit and you should have no problem with this easy... Read more

Replaced belt and switch. Be sure to follow the directions for the belt instillation and be sure that the belt runs on the outside diameter of the drum and not in the groove. BE SURE TO UNPLUG THE POWER CORD! Read more
The belts were very easy to change through the back of the machine. The heating element was a bit more involved. I basically had to disassemble the entire machine. The heating element is located on the front panel of the machine surrounding the door. You have to remove the rear panel, the top panel and loosen both side panels from the bottom pan, 6 screws. Then you slide the 2 sides and front panel (all still attached) a few inches forward so that you can access the screws that secure the side... Read more
This small hardware washer serves as a spacer/bearing surface within appliance assemblies to distribute load and maintain proper clearance. Replacing a worn washer helps restore smooth operation and alignment of the affected control or mechanism. What it does:
This was my first ever self appliance repair. The videos provided by Appliance Parts Pros were excellent and gave me the confidence to do the work myself. My Maytag dryer model opened differently than the one in the videos. I had to remove the front panel and screwing in the paddle required reaching way back and working in a small space where I couldn't see what I was doing. It was uncomfortable but doable with a nut driver and a bit of elbow grease. The part fit perfectly and it looks good as... Read more
