This is the front bulkhead panel that forms the front wall of the dryer drum opening. It provides structural support for the drum and typically includes the felt seal and bearing surfaces that allow the drum to rotate smoothly. Replace this assembly if the front panel is cracked, warped, or worn, or if you notice excessive noise, drum wobble, or clothes getting caught between the drum and the front panel.
From reading "troubleshooting" sites on the internet, originally thought I'd be replacing the front & rear drum rollers, so I ordered the rollers, and a new belt before I opened up the dryer, taking it out of use. When I opened it up the front rollers were "shot", and the front bulkhead was "totaled". Thought heating element was bad but turned out to be short in power cord which I had to order new wiring hardness. First time ordering from Appliance Parts. They had the best price, better shipping price and said normal shipping was 1.7 days. Couldn't get that locally. Never ordered anything online that normal shipping didn't take at least 5 days.
