Removed 3 screws which required a torx bit. Used small headless nails to line up the holes and use as a guide for sliding on new diffuser. Put screws in one at a time and tightened down. rotating the drum helped with slight mis-alignement with the screw holes. Read more
This replacement part is a high-limit thermostat, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. I ordered two new baffles and 7 screws. I also ordered 6 large washers. We were running with one baffle held by only 2 of 3 screws.
