Seals the gap between the dryer drum and front panel to retain heat and reduce friction. Replace if worn, torn, or causing the drum to slip out of place.
Switch is part of the motor. Removed drum and replaced motor. Repositioned drive belt and performed a preventive maintenance by replacing the felt drum gasket and bearing slides. Cleared the error codes and ran a drying cycle. All worked as designed. Well done Read more

I replaced the slide bearings a few years back. A few months later the rear bearing started to go so I replaced that one. Bad idea. Replace these two at the same time. The wobbling from the rear bearing failure caused accelerated wear on the slide bearings. Without the money to fix it I ran it as it was. Another bad idea. Found the part number and installation instructions online. Ordered the part online through AppliancePartsPros.com. Part arrived within a week. Removed the door from the dryer then removed the face of the door from the rest of the door. The broken part was then easily accessible and replaced. Reattached the door face and reattached the door. Easy job. Read more
Gas dryer application
I disassembled the dryer to get to the inner rear so that I could disconnect the old cord and replace it with the new cord. The disassembly process was long about 40 mins (first timer) but not very difficult. The replacement process was extremely easy and the reassembly process took about 10 mins. Read more
