It wound up as the thermistor switch that is located in the out vent duct along with an over temp switch. As long as it was apart I replaced the drum belt which made for extra work but it saves another down time later. If a person goes by the Samsung manual you will take a lot more off than needed. Due to manufacturer changes, the idler assembly is no longer included. If needed use part number DC93-00634A. For the motor bracket only use part number DC61-01213A.

I watched a video on RepairClinic.com and learned the only tool necessary was a screwdriver to get access to the drum to replace it. I looked up the part number and found it on your website. The drum was delivered to my front door the next day! The drum was the correct part and the whole job took less than 1 hour to complete without any complications.
