Noise was coming from dryer rotation so I checked in to what it was. Found out the drum gasket had a tear in it causing the drum to "skip a beat" during operation. I had to replace the thermal fuse (2ND time in a year because my wife won't clean the lint trap!) The total repair take less that a minute....but you have to take the entire dryer apart to get to the fuse. Nothe that difficult and a lot of online tools and videos to help you do it. Read more
Checked all thermal fuses and replaced. - Still no good Replaced Main Board - Still no good Tested motor and did not get good ohm readings so replaced Motor unit - Still no good Checked voltage coming to back of dryer - one phase was 0 volts and the other was 220. Plug and outlet had arc'd and shorted. Replaced cord and outlet - All is good :) Read more
Due to manufacturer changes, the idler assembly is no longer included. If needed use part number DC93-00634A. For the motor bracket only use part number DC61-01213A.
