Pull the appliance away from any walls and begin by removing any mounting screws holding the top panel in place. There should be some on the back of the appliance and behind the dryer door. Once the mounting hardware is removed, remove the back panel and disconnect any components secured to the control panel portion. With everything removed, the old top can be lifted and set aside and the new one carefully slid into place.
