The Drum Slide is an OEM replacement part for GE clothes dryers. It supports the front of the dryer drum, allowing it to rotate smoothly and quietly. Made of durable materials, this component reduces friction as the drum spins, ensuring that the appliance operates with minimal noise and wear. Causes for a malfunctioning Drum Slide can include wear and tear from the constant rotation of the drum, accumulation of lint or debris causing friction, or damage due to overloading the dryer may also disrupt slide movement quality over time. Symptoms of a faulty drum slide include:
This GE OEM replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
After removing the top panel of the dryer, I removed 2 screws down inside (with unusual square head) to free the front panel then disconnected the wiring connecting the front panel to the dryer by gently pushing at the clips with a flathead screwdriver; this allowed me to fully remove the front panel. There is a large round lip on the front panel which holds the drum in place, and it was easy to see that the felt around this lip had degraded and turned completely orange and was the source of... The Drum Support Bearing is an OEM part for GE dryers. This part allows the smooth rotation of the dryer drum. This small yet crucial component plays a pivotal role in the dryer's operation, supporting the back of the drum as it turns, and ensuring that clothes are dried evenly and efficiently.
Over time, the drum support bearing may wear out or become damaged due to the constant friction and heat generated during the dryer's operation.
Symptoms of a bad Drum Support Bearing include:
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

This upper drum felt is the replacement seal that cushions and guides the dryer drum for quieter operation and smoother rotation. It helps protect the drum edge and prevents clothes from catching where the drum meets the front bulkhead. What it does:
What's included: One upper drum felt seal Install notes:
I removed the damaged felt strips and all adhesive residue from the dryer door face. Then I installed the new felt strips. The plastic glides snapped into place easily on the drum. Reinstalling the door was a simple operation, and the drum fit snugly on the new felt gaskets. The dryer works great now, runs quietly, and the entire repair cost much less than a service call or purchasing a new dryer. Read more
This dryer drive motor and pulley kit restores proper drum rotation by replacing a worn or seized motor. It delivers the torque to turn the drum via the belt so laundry tumbles evenly.
This is a heating element for dryers. This is the component that creates the dryer's heat. It is essential for the drying process. When the heating element stops working on a dryer, it will not produce heat. It may also produce heat, but just not enough heat. This can make the drying cycle take longer to complete. However, replacing this part is a simple task. Disconnect the power before installing this part. Wear gloves during the replacement process for safety. If the dryer is heating at all, make sure to give it plenty of time to cool down before trying to replace it. This component is sourced straight from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. This heating element with housing is compatible with dryers that are manufactured by the General Electric and Hotpoint brands. This part is made out of high-quality materials and is a durable replacement part.

Includes blower wheel, housing and cover. Not available seperate.
The problem turned out to be a loose blower fan rattling around inside the blower housing as the fan blade turned. The fan blade had partially separated from its center located silver bushing that screws onto the motor shaft. There was no way to reseat the fan onto the bushing - the opening in the fan blade was chewed up. And there was no way to get the bushing itself off the motor shaft with the fan blade sitting loosely on it. Removal required: 1) breaking the central part of the fan... Read more

This replacement part is a ball bearing, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. This ball bearing is found in dryers and is an important part of the machine as a whole, even though this part is very small. Ball bearings are a rolling element that helps carries loads, reduces friction in the machine, and positions moving parts. The main purpose is to reduce rotational friction. A new ball bearing might be needed if the user notices that additional friction is being placed on the tub of the dryer. If the ball bearings are off-balanced, it is possible that the drum of the appliance will wobble and create loud noises during the drying cycles. Be sure the appliance is cooled down before attempting to replace this part. These ball bearings are sold individually even though dryers typically have more than one. This is a genuine OEM part.
