This sump and motor assembly circulates water throughout your dishwasher, pumping wash water up to the spray arms and draining dirty water at the end of each cycle. It includes the main motor, pump housing, and internal components that create the water pressure needed for effective cleaning. Replace this assembly if your dishwasher won't fill with water, doesn't drain properly, or makes unusual grinding or humming noises during operation.
