Based on the apparent relation to draining that I found on the internet I decided to open/unscrew the areas under the bottom rack where the water is pumped out. I went on line found the PE code and started troubleshooting. I ended up ordering a new circuit board, and the half-load motor and micro-switch. It turned out, I didn't need the circuit board. Replacing the motor and micro-switch solved the problem. The repair was very simple. I pulled out the dishwasher from under the counter, tipped it on its side and unscrewed the white plastic plate on the bottom. This exposed all the working parts of the dishwasher. This error code is for a high temperature heating error. Unplug the dishwasher or flip the circuit breaker that powers the dishwasher. Remove the dishwasher from under the counter. And remove the metal panel that is on the right side if you are looking at it from the front. It is 2 Phillips head screws.
