I called and talked to a customer service rep and she helped me troubleshoot the problem and order the correct part. She also sent me the pdf of the repair manual and I followed its instructions to replace the drain solenoid. It was a fairly easy repair. I wasn't sure if I would need the water level control switch, but I ordered it to be on the safe side. Turns out the original is still good. Read more

Removed 8 screws that retain inner door to outer door. Removed rinse aid dispenser nut and replaced O-ring around dispenser. Also, removed 2 screws that retain the latch assembly and replaced rubber grommet around latch lever that retains soap dispenser door. Read more
The foam was shot on the detergent cup lid. Hard as a rock. Causing caking problems, dribble down the inside wall of the door and leaving lumps of detergent. Cut the door in half wit aviation snips and pulled out the two halves. Discovered at this point that the spring had gone soft. Bought one ahead of time, so I was set. Put the spring on the left pin, put the spring pin in the door, slipped the door into place (open) and put the right pin in with pliers. Door snaps open now. Read more

The top sprayer arm was worn after 20 plus years of use. I replaced the "Washer Arm Retaining Clip/Outlet, Snap/ Upper Wash Arm". I first viewed a YouTube video to show me some troubleshooting tips. Narrow the "thump" to the upper wash arm. A simple fix. Unscrew the old arm. Assemble the three parts together. Screw the new assembly in place. No tools required. Ordered the new o-rings for the pump housing and main filter screen unit. Cleaned all water hardness and other debris out of all parts. Main filter and inside parts clogged with water hardness/limescale and other debris. The 3" wide round filter internal was completely clogged with debris and some of the filter holes we crystallized with water limescale. Installed door latch assembly with switch contacts supplied with the assembly. After troubleshooting, found out it was only 1 of 2 switch contacts that were bad. Read more
