This assembly combines the spark igniter and orifice holder for a 9,500-BTU cooktop surface burner. The igniter creates the spark to light the gas, while the orifice holder meters the correct gas flow to the burner. Replace this assembly if the burner won't ignite, clicks without lighting, or produces an uneven or weak flame.
I removed the cooktop main top. Lifted the foil insulation. Then I had to unscrew the tubes to be able to unscrew the Cooktop Burner Valve which needed to be replaced. Replacing was simple.
