The dispenser drip tray catches water and ice that falls from the refrigerator's front-mounted water and ice dispenser. Replace when the tray is cracked, stained beyond cleaning, or doesn't fit properly in its slot.
Internet videos provided troubleshooting help. Verified ice maker working by shorting terminals and then verified valve was bad with ohmmeter check. Troubleshooting Info available with Google youtbube search. Part arrived with 3 days. 30 minute change out. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was 10+ yrs old and during the change out the water filter housing which has connecting tubes from the water inlet valve began leaking, possibly from movement of the tubes during the changeout. Our refrigerator is over 15 years old and has been working great with only minor complaints and repairs. We noticed that our water level has been discolored from minor dripping. Our hard water discolors everything. We decided to replace this lever and. The ice dispense lever was also replaced since we wanted both to match and I had to open that area anyway. The refrigerator handle trim is the decorative covering that surrounds or accents the door handle area. Replace it if the trim is cracked, discolored, loose, or if it affects the handle's proper operation.
Basically have rebuilt the electronic portion of this fine appliance. this entailed removal of the oven then disassembly to remove circuit boards. very helpful to take pictures of the process as you go so you get the wires back to the right place. Read more
