I could hear the old motor try to turn by it's hum but no ice came out. I made sure the auger was not jammed. The motor replacement took about 15 minutes. This was a very simple fix, one wire connection and 9 screws. Read more
I found the correct part on the website that I needed very easily and received it within two days with only regular shipping. The email I received letting me know that my parts were on the way also included a YouTube link that showed me exactly how to remove the broken part and install the new part. I called and the order taker helped me identify the correct part. it was received in a timely manner and I was kept informed of the delivery process. The tray is a large plastic molded part. Some of the screw holes had to be cleared of flash from the molding process, a minor common occurrence easily rectified. Otherwise all went well with repair completed in half an hour.
