Your part number for this model refrigerator was the exact replacement needed and a genuine part. Pushed the eject button next to the filter located at the bottom of the grille on the left side (freezer side). The old filter came forward, we removed it. We watched the whirlpool you tube video 1st which shows to removed the two covers and to push it back into place and there was instructions included turning clockwise or counter clockwise. I went on line to this vendor. I found the part then called to speak to a rep. He confirmed the oart. We ordered it through the rep and it came two days aerie then expected. While I can admit the packaging could have been more protective especially for a metal and glass shelf, it arrived undamaged and perfectly brand new piece.
