Compressor relay & overload combination kit with all related mounting hardware. Replaces old style relay and overload.
The new overload/relay kit corrected the problem. The Panduit/zip-ties supplied in the replacement kit didn't fit where the illustration showed in the directions but smaller zip-ties connected together did fit and held the relay against the compressor just fine and the sealant had good squeeze-out. I checked on line for possible issues and it came back to the PTC relay overload assembly. I ordered one and verified with the technician if the instructions for wiring it up to an older model is addressed. He sent me a copy of the instructions and it covered everything. First replaced start capacitor but that did not work, the start kit which has a relay and overload protector is what was needed. The relay is actually the only part that was bad I believe. After pulling the relay off the compressor you could shake it and it rattled, the new one did not. Really pretty easy and definitely cheaper than a service call. Read more
