Reconnected Broiler element power wire and replaced relay board. Hardest part of project was pulling oven unit out of cabinet. Replace this element if the broiler does not heat, heats unevenly, has visible damage such as blistering or burn-through spots, or if it sparks during operation.
This is a door-activated switch that detects whether the oven door is open or closed. It controls functions such as the oven light or signals the control board about door position. As described, thanks your helped repair what the repairman would not or could not do.. Bottom element shorted and burned up from previous homeowner, not sure why or how? Replaced both heating elements, still no heat, the clock controller was also damaged due to the shorting even though it appeared to work OK, just no heat.
