I removed and inspected the lid magnet. It had a 1/8" layer of corrosion. I removed the layer of corrosion and reinstalled the part. the symptom improved. That was a stop-gap repair until the new lid magnet arrived. The broken rubber isolators were discovered when I removed the top of the washing machine. Read more
I replaced the "pressure switch" and was back in business. The other thing I did was clean the tube that went to the bottom of the tub. That might have been the issue since there was considerable resistance When I blew into it . After it cleared, I put s mall amount of bleach down the line then rinsed it and dried it and hooked back up, All is well! I ordered the motor, and followed the instructions. Splicing the included wire and taking out the fuse. Washer works fine now. I didn't have the installation tool, but I used a socket that fit over the bottom of the motor shaft and put the belt on. Read more

This is a GE control board assembly for washing machines. The washer's main control board assembly is the housing for the main controls and the control board. The washer's control board regulates the cycles on a washer. If the washer's main spin and draining functions have quit working, the problem may be remedied by installing a new control board assembly. The issues could happen gradually or all at once, depending on whether the control board has completely shorted out. There could be noticeable smoke or a burning smell coming from the control board assembly if this part shorts out.
