The dishwasher is 4 years old, so I figured since it was leaking from the bottom, replacing the Tub Gasket PN: AP5690109, Splash Shield Kit PN: AP4338941 , and the bottom Door Seal/Gasket PN: AP5809675 was a good idea; the machine probably has around 1200 cycles in 4 years. There's no telling how much the door had opened and closed!? Filters debris from dishwasher sump to protect pump and spray arms. Replace if warped, clogged, or dishes aren't cleaning properly. Verify fit by model.
1. Removed and replaced circulation pump. That didn't end up being the whole problem, although there was debris jammed up in multiple sections of the impeller. Still was satisfied with results. 2. Continued trouble-shooting and discovered a lot of additional debris in the spray arm itself. Score! That resolved all performance issues. 3. This thermistor is the dishwasher's temperature sensor. It reports water temperature to the control so the heater and cycle timing are managed correctly, helping restore reliable wash performance and more consistent drying.
After a bit of testing I found that this thermister was not closing when the water was up to temp, causing the machine to stay in the wash cycle. This was a 5 minute job to change, accessible from under the machine without moving it. Easy fix, good price! Read more

It's an easy fix. Just remove the two screws holding it in place. Then it will be easier to remove the supply line. Disconnect the quick-connect wires. Remove the rubber hose and clamp. Attach the rubber hose and clamp to new part, attach supply line, attach wires and then screw back into place with screws. Turn on the water and test for leaks. Read more
