The side discharge tube is a plastic or rubber tube that routes exhaust air or fluid out through the side of an appliance, such as a dishwasher, washing machine, or refrigerator drain system. It directs water or air away from internal components to prevent buildup or damage. Replace this tube if it is cracked, kinked, or leaking, causing water or air to discharge in the wrong location.
