This is the electric drive motor and bracket assembly that controls the automatic door latch mechanism on a range or wall oven. It engages and releases the door lock during the self-clean cycle to keep the door securely closed at high temperatures. Replace this motor if the oven door fails to lock or unlock, the self-clean cycle won't start, or you receive a door lock error code.
