We took off the front door cover and found that the vent had failed some time ago- the flap was frozen open, the motor did not work. We removed the three screws and the vent came of- putting the new one back was just that simple except that I had to remove the protective paper from the adhesive covered gasket around the surface of vent. I put in 4 new parts ad gave it a try. had water under dish washer about the size of a half dollar , I dried it up and washed more dishes and pots. No leak that time, and it has been doing fine since. I'd say water was just what was laying on the water lines and shook off. If you see water the first time don't worry wipe it up and use it some more to see if it leaks. GOOD LUCK!!! Read more
