I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new. Well since I am adept at the internet and YouTube videos, I told a couple of guys what they had to do but the gasket had hardened so much it wasn't easy to pull the gasket ends out of the holes so they took the oven door apart. Took much longer than expected so I would tell your customers to tug a little harder if the gasket has hardened. Read more
