I had to remove all of the components from one unit over to another. Since I cut the back of the dishwashers tub and the upper spray arm tube with a demo tool at the beginning of the project I figured I could fix it. We took off the front door cover and found that the vent had failed some time ago- the flap was frozen open, the motor did not work. We removed the three screws and the vent came of- putting the new one back was just that simple except that I had to remove the protective paper from the adhesive covered gasket around the surface of vent.
