The Console Assembly is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire dishwashers. It houses the control board located at the top of the dishwasher door, containing buttons and displays for cycle selection. Causes for failure relate to prolonged exposure in wet, hot dishwasher environments breaking down the circuit board. Mineral buildup inhibiting contacts is also possible. Symptoms include:

Our local repair company charged me $70.00 for a service call, told me I needed a new Pc board which is what I expected. They estimated $250.00 for a new board plus another service call to install. A quick search on the internet I found the Pc board for $113.00 and $6.95 shipping. Repair took about 1/2.hr with only a screw diver saving around $200.00.
