Over time a detergent housing assembly drawer can become damaged causing it to no longer fill and disperse the water properly. If the housing assembly drawer is cracked, damaged, or the water is not coming through, the housing assembly drawer will need to be replaced. To replace this part, start by unplugging the power to the washing machine. Once unplugged, remove the top panel of the washer by unthreading the screws that secure it. After removing the screws, lift the top panel off to gain access to the housing assembly drawer. Proceed to remove the four hoses that attach to the housing assembly. Make sure to note the orientation of the hoses. Remove the hoses with a pair of pliers by grabbing the metal clamps to pull them back. Afterwards, take a flathead screwdriver to pry off the hoses. After they have been removed, proceed to pull the drawer out of the dispenser by pressing the button that releases it from its locking tab. Remove the two screws that hold the dispenser to the frame.
