I had a repair man come out for $55 and he diagnosed it as having three problems and wanted $500 to fix it and gave me a list of parts I needed. So I ordered them from Appliance Parts Pros on Thursday evening and it shipped out Friday and I received them on Saturday morning. Yea! Replaced motor that opens ice dispenser flap. Had to splice wires with butt connectors because wires are soldered to circuit board and I didn't have a soldering iron at the time. Read more

First, I watched an AppliancePartsPro video on YouTube to understand the replacement process. I sat the replacement gasket outside in the sun to heat up and work out the kinks and also used a hair dryer for the same purpose. I ordered a replacement housing. Shipping was awesome, had it two days later. I replaced the old housing and it works great now. I never did find any visible damage on the old one but the new one doesn’t leak. I’m super happy about that... Read more
