Replace both thee the dispenser lever and the housing as both had broken tabs. Took about 45 minutes. Pretty straight forward repair. Easy enough that you can simply look at it to see how it comes apart. Tip: to get main panel off, remove 3 screws under drip tray then the panel slides up to come off door. Read more
I checked with Appliance Parts Pros.com and found out that the likely culprit was a broken Ice Dispenser Actuator Arm. I watched a video on the same site and figured I could change that part. I wanted to confirm it was that part so I took the front section apart. The Ice Dispenser Actuator Arm was in fact broken; the little tab that strikes the switch had broken off. I replaced it with the order part from AppliancePartspros.com. by looking at the diagram given it was easy for me and cheaper for me to replace it. It took me 15 minutes to replace and saved me over $100.00 to hire someone to do it. Read more
Front evaporator fan motor mounting bracket
I first replaced the evaporator fan but the problem wasn't fixed. All that was left was replacing the Adaptive Defrost Control Board and it the evaporator fan now starts immediately. Read more
