The repair guy told me if I have him fix it I should just buy a new one. I like my washer and dryer because it's a combo and takes up little space so I decided to fix it myself. The agitator cap assembly is the top cover piece that fits over the washing machine's central agitator post and locks the agitator fins in place. It keeps the agitator components secured during heavy wash loads. Replace this part when the cap is cracked, missing, or has broken tabs that allow the agitator to wobble or come loose during a cycle.

The belt was off of the pulley and the idler wheel was worn out. I replaced the idler pulley and the spring and put the new belt on and the washer is working fine now. Read more
I replaced the belt and the tensioner along with the spring for it. The tensioner c clip was hard to get to. There wasn't much room for my hands. Read more
Removed motor/pump to gain access to hose. Hose could be replaced with out removal of motor but I wanted to install new hose with out any excessive bending and twisting. Found original hose to be to small for hole in tub - not a tight fit. Ordered replacement hose (actual Frigidaire replacement) it fit very snug. I also added some extra flexible rtv to the grove in the hose that attaches to the tub for a more permanent seal. Reinstalled motor/pump and tightened hose clamps on pump. Let set for... Read more
