The video was generic but very good. I started trying to tuck the gasket like the video was showing, but soon gave up and pulled the screws around the door, the gasket snapped on and put screws back in. I know some viewers said they simply loosened the screws but I found it just as simple to remove them and the gasket snapped into place and had no issues with screw hole alignment. Read more
Replaced power cord. Note: Took old cord off and went to Sears parts center a couple of miles from my home. They said it was no longer available. Another major parts supplier also said the same thing. I found the cord on your site with my model number in under two minutes. Both suggested I buy a new refrigerator since mine was so old. I knew the problem was with the gears and / or the rails they ride on. You can't really tell until you take it apart. Turns out my right side track had a few damaged teeth towards the front. The door has to come off, it lifts right out from the metal slide, no tools needed for this part of the repair. Both baskets have to be lifted out. The plastic gards that go over the tops have retaining clips. Pry the old gears off off the metal slides with a sturdy flat screwdriver.The replacement gears... Read more
