I thought the expensive controller was overheating because the fan wasn't activating. So I replaced this fan switch. The old one bench tested the same as the new one using a heat gun. The $200 controller is on its way. This part should be IDed as the Fan Limit Switch. It's distinguishable from the other switch because the mounting tabs are parallel with the electrical blades. It took about 30 minutes to replace the control panel. The hardest part was screwing the control board back into the face panel. The old screws weren't long enough. I ended up having to use a machine screw that I had on hand. Aside from that, the repair was easy. Read more
