This small cylindrical bushing is positioned inside the refrigerator door hinge mechanism to reduce friction and provide smooth door operation. Replace it when the door becomes difficult to open/close, makes squeaking noises, or doesn't align properly with the cabinet.

I supported the door with some books then took off the lower hinge. After lowering the door just a little I removed the old thimble using an EZ out then screwed in the new one. I didn't even need to unload the inside of the door.
