I drained the pump and removed coins etc from pump drain screen. This did not solve the problem, so I called Slagers, our local appliance store in Iowa City. The repair man came out two days later in the AM. He drained the pump again and checked the codes--he had to use our wireless internet because Sprint would not work from our house to determine the error code problem. He said it was the pump. I replaced the following parts in the GE WASHER that I have owned for approximately 14 years: Part no.: WH08X10038 - rubber gasket Part no.: WH01X10277 - inside gasket clamp Part no.: WH01x10279 - outside gasket clamp The two gasket clamps were ordered on 1/18/24 and delivered the next afternoon to my front door. • Will not fill with water

The GE front loading HE washer wound paused at the rinse fill point and need manual selection of drain & spin to finish the load. Online searches told me how to get the error code. Once E22 was found online searching told me it was a water flow problem- slow fill. I removed the hoses at the washer and inspected for clogs - nothing was found. I literally could have done this job with a blindfold on! No kidding. Come on people! My grandmother could have done this one! Since the rubber gasket/skirt in the front of the washer (seals the door) was twisted when the spring failed and the drum failed, I had to remove the wire hoop and spring that held it in place and readjust the skirt. Easy. Them I removed the top of the washer (6 screws). Easy. Immediately you could see the failed spring. I ordered 2 springs so I could replace both... Read more

I replaced the broken drive belt first and noticed the drive pulley loose. The nut that had held it in place had backed off. This resulted in significant wear on the pulley hub. I just tightened it up and installed the belt. I noticed the belt had a tendency to change its position on the pulley depending on the direction of rotation. Replaced all 4 shocks, and 2 suspension springs. The overall fix was easy for the shocks which only require a quarter turn with a cresent wrench to replace. The suspension springs are more difficult because the bottom of the washer drum must be supported due to the substantial weight. I used a car jack to support the drum from the bottom and a long bunge wrapped around the main drive pulley. I.would not have been able to do this as a one person without it.
