The video was quite helpful with step by step instructions. I ordered a belt and idler pulley before dismantling assuming they were the issues. Belt was easy and fit fine but I did not realize the idler pulley was secured with a special fastener, push on cap nut, that would be damaged if removed. So I left it in place. Original pulley seemed fine so I reassembled the dryer. Restarted and of course the noise remained. I ordered the push on fastener and also the drum bearing as a precaution. ... Read more
This is a replacement dryer control panel that has been manufactured by General Electric. This control panel allows the user to select the desired dryer settings and cycles.
