A small rubber-lined washer that cushions and electrically isolates connections to reduce metal-on-metal contact and damp vibration. Helps protect parts and maintain proper spacing for reliable operation. What it does:
Mounting screw for dryer assembly. Secures panels, brackets, or internal components. Replace if stripped, missing, or damaged during repairs.
Red mounting screw for dryer assembly. Secures internal panels and components. Order replacement if original screw is stripped, missing, or damaged.
Replacement screw for securing dryer components like drum supports, panels, and housings. Needed when screws are lost, stripped, or damaged during repair.
Replaced front dryer drum support and lint trap duct as both were disintegrating with multiple cracks. While not as easy for me as in the videos, as placement required a little more jostling of the parts to place and fit snugly, the videos were amazingly helpful and I would never have accomplished the repair without them. Seals the gap between the dryer drum and front panel to retain heat and reduce friction. Replace if worn, torn, or causing the drum to slip out of place.
Switch is part of the motor. Removed drum and replaced motor. Repositioned drive belt and performed a preventive maintenance by replacing the felt drum gasket and bearing slides. Cleared the error codes and ran a drying cycle. All worked as designed. Well done Read more
