Replacement outer glass panel assembly for range oven doors. Installs on the front exterior of the door. Needed when original glass is cracked or shattered.
We found a video on how to change out the glass and looked fairly easy. My husband, being the skeptic that he is, wasn't on board as readily as I was but we tried it regardless. To his surprise in about 30 minutes we did it! So easy and a big thanks to Appliances Parts Pros for the part. We had the new part in 1 1/2 days...I was expecting it to be delivered in 5 days! After literally weeks of going through the Maytag Appliance service center who replaced the gas pump and ignitor (twice) and getting nowhere, I finally researched the problem myself on the internet and ordered a replacement spark module W10331686 (AP5178660) from AppliancePartsPros which resolved the problem once and for all. This is an electronic control board intended for use with ranges and ovens. It is typically located at the top of the appliance. Wear and tear or damage can cause the control board to stop working.If the electronic control board needs to be replaced, the oven should first be unplugged from the wall. A basic set of tools will be required for the replacement process. A set of work gloves can also be used to protect a user's hands. Make sure the oven and stovetop are cool to the touch. Next, pull out the oven and unscrew the electronic control board from the back of the appliance. Remove the wires and take off the part.
