This safety device monitors microwave temperature and shuts off power if overheating occurs to prevent damage or fire. Located inside the microwave cabinet near the magnetron or cooling vents, it's a non-adjustable temperature switch. Replace if the microwave shuts off unexpectedly during operation, won't start, or if you notice overheating issues with normal use.
