This vent damper controls airflow through your microwave's ventilation system and directs air properly through the exhaust. It opens and closes to regulate air movement and prevent backflow when the vent fan isn't running. Replace this component if your microwave vent isn't moving air effectively or if you notice poor ventilation performance.
