The refrigerator top hinge shim is a thin spacer that fits between the top hinge and the refrigerator cabinet to fine-tune the alignment and level of the door. It helps ensure the door hangs evenly, seals properly, and closes without gaps. Replace or add this shim if the refrigerator door sags, doesn't close flush, or the door gasket isn't sealing evenly around the top of the door.

There is a hexagonal shaft that connects the ice dispenser motor to an auger/chopper in the ice hopper. The end of the shaft had rounded-off.
